Wreck-it Ralph

Wreck-it Ralph has a good example of a moral lesson, which is that evil villains don't always have to be evil and that there's a bit of good in everyone. Also the evil villain can become the good guy with a little help and determination (this also shows in the movie Megamind).

Another lesson that this movie tells us is that when we think other peoples' life is so much better, but in some cases there life is actually worse. also at some point we see our jobs as meaningless and small, but we only see the big picture when we start to see the effect.

Brave

Throughout this Disney Pixar animation 'Brave' there are a couple of morals in the story for anyone to learn. Many movies from Disney Pixar have morals but in 'Brave' has introduced something different by creating a girl character as being the true hero.

The first lesson is that a girl be a hero by not letting a male character stand beside her (unlike Cinderella, Rapunzel and Mulan) throughout her journey in the movie. also she doesn't want a man in her life because she wants to be independent and increase her abilities of an archer/sword fighter.

Secondly, this story tells us that adults/parents can be wrong, because Merida's mother is trying to change her opinions and choose a different course for her to take by marrying a man. However, the story also teaches us that teens can be wrong by rebelling and acting out in anger and frustration but not considering the consequences of her actions.

Water Advert, Identify

This advert is a computer animation based on the safety of water and how it can effect people in third world countries. I think that this advert is effective because of the way it's presented to the viewer, by showing us how water can be contaminated without showing us disturbing images of actual water, which will put us off our tea or just change the channel when the advert comes on. The animation runs smooth and projects the narrative of what's been said throughout the video clearly and creatively. I think the purpose of this animation is to help the less fortunate by donating money so they can have clean water, and I think it works because it's appealing to the viewer to watch and will get them interested in the charity.

Kick Ass Moral Lesson

The movie Kick Ass may just be a beat 'em up movie, which is about a young teen wanting to become a superhero and defeat crime but bad at fighting, it's also a movie which shows people that you don't have to have super powers to be a superhero. This movie shows us that if a nerdy skinny teen can become a popular superhero but have no powers, then he can inspire other people to do the same and make the city a better and safer place to life (this really shows in the second film).

Cloudy With a chance of Meatballs 2 Moral Lesson

Cloudy With a chance of Meatballs 2 is fun adventures movie for kids, where an island is taken over by huge creatures made out of food and a inventor named Flint has to try and stop his machine thats creating the creatures. In this movie there are many positive lessons for the viewer, like being honest, sticking with your good friends, helping your friend not to hang out with bad people and to do the right thing at any situation possible. I think that this is one of the purposes of the movie, to make kids understand that staying loyal to your friends is good and not to ditch them for someone who seems nice but are actually bad, also your inventions can be used to help other people rather than being selfish.

Coca Cola Advert

In this coca cola advert it shows you how the cola is made before the bottle is ejected from the machine. The purpose of this animation is to show how the cola is made from mystical creatures which make the drink out of love and care. I think that the message/purpose works well for this advert because it shows us how they make the drink taste so good and how it stays so cool.

Family Guy

Family Guy is a good example for this brief Identify because nearly every episode as a message at the end of the show. Sometimes it can be a reflection on the episode but they say what they did wrong so they won't do it again, or they have a moral that the end of the episode saying what they've learnt throughout the show.

The purpose of this show is to make children/teens laugh but to also teach them a lesson, I think that sometimes the message doesn't get across because the episode did't make sense.

Things you'd better not mix up

Things You'd Better Not Mix Up from Jiek Weishut on Vimeo.

this animation teaches you that you should not mix your equipment up or to double check something before you use it.

minecraft in 20 seconds

Some minecraft stop motion animations don't have hidden messages, but in this one i think that it does because it shows how people can be annoying on games and how it can ruin games for other people. But this also shows how most people play the game anyway, which to me is quite comedic.

batman vs superman

In this stop motion animation batman is trying to fight superman but superman doesn't make a flinch when batman is throwing batarangs and grappling hooks at him. this makes me laugh because it shows logic, because batman would never be able to fight/defeat  superman because of his super strength.

divided brain

Brain Divided from Cartoon Brew on Vimeo.

This animation is about a guy having a split personality and how the blue guy in the brain controls the guys intellectual part of the brain and the red guy in the brain controls the romantic part of the brain.
This animation is a comedy because of the way the two personalities of the brain start fighting to control the main guy so that they will impress the girl he's on a date with. I think that the message behind this video is that you don't have to choose a personality to impress someone with, you can use all of them and to be yourself, which will impress a girl even more.
