About BBC 4

BBC 4 is a British TV channel operated by the British Broadcasting Corporation or the BBC and available to digital television viewers on freeview, IPTV, satellite, and cable.
BBC 4 started on the 2nd of March 2002, with a schedule running from 7pm till 4am. The channel shows 'a wide variety of programmes including drama, original programmes, documentaries, music, international films, comedy and current affairs. An alternative to programmes on the mainstream TV channels. It's required by its licence to broadcast at least 100 hours of new arts and music programmes, and 110 hours of new factual programmes and to show off 20 international films each year.
